Every year the cosmetics industry makes billions of dollars from our search for great skin.

Clogged pores are major contributing factors to problem skin. The root of the problem has many contributing factors for example: too much oil in the skin, dead skin cells, allergies, diet, too much sugar and genetics.

Improving your skins appearance can be as simple as unclogging your pores to remove impurities from the skin.

Use products that will not clog your pores avoiding those with an oil-base like lotions and that are non-comedogenic.

  • Keep the skin hydrated with moisturizers the better products containing few chemical additives.
  • Clean your skin with alcohol-free toners and skin conditioners.
  • Gently scrub to avoid skin damage. Remove remaining cleanser and debris to prevent imbedding in the pores once you add moisturizers and serums to the skins surface.
  • The best methods for deep pore cleansing are cotton balls used with alcohol-free toner. Wipe the skin with the cotton balls until no residue can be found on the ball.
  • Some alternatives to skin toner are astringents, salicylic acid, and retinoic acid help to prevent clogging of pores.
